Deep Groundwater Well Construction for a Major Gold Coast Development

Gold Coast Water Bores was engaged to construct deep groundwater wells for the Victoria & Albert development in Broadbeach, one of the Gold Coast’s most prestigious residential projects.

The project involved installing deep groundwater wells to approximately 35 metres below ground level. Work of this scale requires specialised drilling equipment, experienced personnel and the ability to operate safely and efficiently within complex construction environments.

A key challenge was working within a live basement excavation alongside ongoing excavation, formwork and concrete construction activities. Multiple crane lifts were required to relocate drilling equipment as the excavation progressed, demanding close coordination with site management and strict adherence to construction schedules.

Gold Coast Water Bores delivered the complete groundwater well package, including drilling, well casing, well screens and filter pack installation. Successful delivery within an active construction site required careful planning, flexibility and collaboration with the wider project team to maintain progress and meet programme requirements.
